I have read the first one of the series and started the second. It is very much a romance book and very little a mystery. In fact, I do not recall that there was a mystery component in the first book at all. Given that the second in the series started out with links to the first, I am afraid that it will be much the same way. If I finish #2 I will update this review, however I believe that the romance factor is too high for me, with the mystery threshold being far too low. I gave it a 3 because I only read 1/6 of the series, though for the one that I read, I would actually give it a 2 because the romance/mystery balance was wrong for me.Product details

The story was typical and entertaining enough but very unrealistic. The auther also tends to overwrite much of the content. I found myself skimming past the way over done descriptions of emotions and situations.
I can't bring myself to read beyond the first in the series. Maybe after the author matures in her writing a bit I will give her another shot.
was way off on the description of it being a mystery as well. There was not James Bond or any style mystery any where.
I found the 1st few books, boot scooting a bit boring, though I did read them, but I really liked the cozy cash books and overall it was a good price for them all

The characters were quite entertaining and the whole series was quite a fun read from the laughs and tragedies to the light hearted friendships and long standing ones.
I love this collection by D.D. Scott. The Bootscootin books are my favorite but the lead ins to the Cozy Cash series are lots of fun. Lots of quirky situations and crazy characters. Definitely worth the money to buy the collection.
She should of ended the series after the third book. Aside from the typographical and grammatical errors, the story lines just got worse and worse. It was if the last three books were only written because she got paid for six and was forced to write them. It took me almost two months to finish reading this series because it was so boring after book three.
The stories were a quick and easy read for the most part. Fun characters but the storylines became very convoluted and far fetched the more I read. My biggest issue, however, was as others have said- the spelling and grammar left a *lot* to be desired. There were also multiple times where it became confusing what character was talking because they'd get the names wrong which made me stop and reread parts just to figure out what was actually going on. Overall, a fun, casual read with a minimal mystery to the cozy cash portion of the books but the author really needs to hire a better editor.
