The first time I saw this book I had no doubt that it will be good. I truly enjoyed AJ's Jezebel's Wish but I didn't expected that I'd end up loving She's Got Dibs. I'm not much into Adult Books, because honestly, most of the books I've read from this genre concentrates more on sex rather than the story itself. This book isn't one of those. I loved the story and it hooked me from the beginning.

I can't think of anything that I didn't liked about this book. I enjoyed the story as much as I like the characters. I liked Tessa even though there were times that I was irritated by her decisions. Nevertheless, she remains a strong woman and her choices brought her true love. And Dibs, I strongly feels for this guy. For me, he's Christian Grey without the psychological and emotional baggage. Only the sweet, caring, thoughtful, loving, and rich kind of guy. He has the humor and wit that I like and he's an absolute gentleman. Christian can fly all his helicopters, I've got Dibs who can fly an airplane! Yeah... Literally.

She's Got Dibs is an engaging book, romantic and sexy, it will satisfy the reader's sensual appetite as much as their heart's. This is my second AJ Nuest's book and it's definitely not the last.

Do you ever finish a book and want to read it again? As soon as I finished I cherished the story for half a day and started it again. The first time I read it in a single sitting (it was just that good) the second time I took my time and made sure I caught all the subtleties I may have missed in the first reading.

This book is written entirely from the heroine's POV. Here is what you need to know - A cowardly idiot crushed her heart and she has successfully kept it protected under lock and key. As you might expect it opens and blossoms through the gentle ministrations of a perfect and attentive hero.

I enjoyed watching their relationship build and their connection develop. The words of this author will remain in my memories. There are so many interactions that touched my heart, but the one that sticks with me the most is "He reached for the vase, but she scowled and twisted away from him. `Get your own. These are mine.'" To me that was a turning point.

I hope you read it and enjoy it as much as I did (both times).
I couldn't wait to sink my teeth into this gem. I've read several of AJ Nuest's books, and this has got to be one of my favs. Tessa Adams and David Issac Brenner (A.K.A. Dibs) -- they fit together so well, and of all places they could meet? LaGuardia airport during a horrific snow storm.

Tessa's an event planner in Chicago, and she doesn't do relationships. After being left at the altar by her fiance three years ago, she's placed a major wall up. She doesn't need a man -- she's a successful businesswoman that's made her own way in the world. However, she doesn't mind an occasional one night stand--which is how Dibs comes into play. After a particularly HAWT night with Dibs during a layover in New York, Tessa slips out of his life for good--or so she thought. Most of her one night stands were perfectly happy to just move on after a blissful night. But when Dibs finds her and pursues her relentlessly -- flowers, big signs on skyscrapers, more flowers -- she has no choice but to at least give him an explanation as to why she left without even saying goodbye. Dibs proposes that they just be friends, then, and Tessa actually thinks it might work...okay, what about friends that spend every waking moment together when they aren't working? Or even...friends with benefits?

But Dibs isn't going to let Tessa off so easily. A billionaire philanthropist from a wealthy New York family, Dibs' meeting Tessa wasn't exactly an accident. She just happened to be one of the three event planners that had met with his father's company to plan a big to-do in Chicago over the summer. When she up and left him after the best night of intimacy he'd ever had, he couldn't help but find her...and pursue her. After surviving a lavish childhood/early adulthood with parents that care nothing about him but expect certain things befitting his station as the oldest son, Dibs wants nothing to do with his father or their company. After spending his 20s in a drug-induced stupor, he was tired of wasting his life doing nothing, so he decided to put his parents' money to good use and build a school in Africa for children (SWOON!!). Unfortunately his father is pressuring him to take his place on the corporate board, and his mother is forcing him to marry into a family that will merge the Brenner empire with another well--to-do New York family -- and to do it, they're hijacking his school in Africa. But Dibs isn't playing by their rules. He wants Tessa, plain and simple.

When he finally breaks her down and tells her he loves her, all hell breaks loose, and Tessa finds out from an overheard conversation that Dibs will have to sacrifice all of his hard work in Africa -- because of her. She refuses to let that happen, so she breaks it off by pretending she's slept with someone else, hurting Dibs -- and herself. In the end, will Dibs found out the truth?

Wowza!!! I don't know how else to put it. I'm a little biased here because I've already read most of Ms. Nuest's books. And, I'll say what I always say she has a true gift for character development. This extremely alpha couple sizzles throughout the whole book. On the surface, it may seem that Dibs is just another rich, handsome hero. And, at first glance, Tessa's seems like just the incredibly beautiful, intelligent heroine that has it all. But once again, the author has created three-dimensional characters that the reader can absolutely fall in love with. When you find out about Dibs' background, you just want to hug him -- and slap his mother across the face (she comes across as a conniving b*$&^ -- a role that I TOTALLY see Susan Lucci in, btw). Under the surface, Dibs is the defiant bad boy who's disappointed both of his parents. The author eloquently depicts the pitfalls of being born into a rich family -- she made Dibs human, and all the more swoon worthy. Who better to help him through this time than the down-to-earth Tessa? Yes, at first she may seem a bit shallow. But it's quite clear she's protecting her fragile psyche from further pain, and it's hard not to like the scared girl that deserves so much more than just a one night stand. Personally, I'm not much for the whole girl finds a billionaire type story, but this one works because the author's given these characters a depth and likability that kept me riveted the whole book through. And--ahem--the chemistry is out of this world fantabulous! Now, if we could only get the author to write a story for Dibs' prankster of a brother, Marcus...oh, his baby sister needs an HEA too;)

This was such a beautiful love story that I found hard to put down and was sad to see it come to an end even though the ending was wonderful.
Tessa and Dibs are both damaged by previous relationships, with Tessa losing all belief in love and trust. From chapter one their relationship sucks you in and the banter between the two is witty and affectionate. Tessa tries to resist the amazing Dibs but he is persistent and fate steps in to ensure that their relationships grows.
When Tessa finally admits her feelings and everything seems perfect for a while, the forces of Dibs powerful family step in and make life difficult and Tessa starts to doubt everything once again. The depth of their love and feelings is so strong that they are both willing to give up everything to protect each other and ensure each other's happiness.
I honestly shed many tears when everything falls apart and both hearts are ripped open, but with the help of unexpected people things are eventually set back on course and this beautiful couple are reunited for a wonderful and happy ending.
This book is really well written and flowed flawlessly, I fell in love with Tessa and Dibs, they suited each other perfectly and I was with them every step of their journey to becoming soul mates.
This book is a must read and I would highly recommend it. I would love to read a sequel and enjoy more of Tessa and Dibs's story.
