Blackthorne is an absolutely brilliant follow-up to the first book in the series, Cold Iron. Blackthorne, the titular character, is a fascinating & utterly compelling addition to an already fantastic cast of characters... We get to learn more about the Acrasian Empire (our mostly faceless enemy from Cold Iron) and examine a people in exile. Definitely pick this one up if you love character driven high fantasy!!
Excellent follow up to Cold Iron.
Stina Leicht delivers another action packed novel in her latest installment of the series that began with Cold Iron. Fans will not be disappointed.
This is one of the best books I have read this year. The plot is engaging, the characterization is excellent, and I was engrossed in a way I haven't been in a long time. I hope that the next book is out soon!
Some interesting twists in the plot. I liked the new characters well, especially Blackthorn. Somehow, I didn't like Nell as much by the end. Still worth reading.
